Changes have been made to the Birkie/Korte/Prince Haakon start schedule. Please review the following information for your proper start time.
8:00 a.m. - Wave 1 Classic (Includes Elites)
8:10 a.m. - Wave 2 Classic
8:25 a.m. - Elite Skate Men
8:27 a.m. - Elite Skate Women
8:30 a.m. - Wave 3 Classic
8:35 a.m. - Wave 1 Skate
8:40 a.m. - Wave 4 Classic
8:45 a.m. - Wave 2 Skate
8:50 a.m. - Wave 5 Classic
8:55 a.m. - Wave 3 Skate
9:00 a.m. - Wave 6 Classic
9:05 a.m. - Wave 4 Skate
9:10 a.m. - Wave 7 Classic
9:15 a.m. - Wave 5 Skate
9:20 a.m. - Wave 8 Classic
9:25 a.m. - Wave 6 Skate
9:30 a.m. - Wave 9 Classic (Korte Only, if needed)
9:35 a.m. - Wave 7 Skate
9:45 a.m. - Wave 8 Skate
9:55 a.m. - Wave 9 Skate
10:05 a.m. - Wave 10 Skate
10:15 a.m. - Prince Haakon 12K (Starts at the Birkie/Korte Start Area)
New Timing Information
A timing "chip" or transponder sensor wire has been installed about 300 meters out from the start line. Your official race time ("chip time") will start when you cross that buried wire, rather than when your wave starts ("gun time"). The location of the wire will be marked with large vertical banners.
Overall Winners of the Birkie Skate and Classic races will be timed based on "gun time". More information on race timing and start information can be found here.
