- spans 50 kilometers from Cable to Hayward for Skaters, and 54K for Classic Skiers
- is North America's largest cross-country ski marathon
- attracts 5,000 Birkie skiers and 10,000 skiers overall
- is part of the Worldloppet circuit of 15 international ski marathons and part of the American Ski Marathon series of 13 races.
