Chain Wax Demo and Free Wrench Support for CAORC
New Moon Ski & Bike in Hayward, WI, officially kicks off its summer bike season this weekend with a a special Fast Wax Chain Wax Demo at the shop on Friday, May 16, from 3:00-6:00 p.m.–presented by Dan Meyer–before the popular CAORC (Cable Area Off-Road Classic) mountain bike race! New Moon is also providing free wrench support to all CAORC racers on race morning, May 17, at the Lakewoods Resort start area as well as bike demos at the Cable finish area. 2014 marks 17 consecutive years of free, expert wrench support at CAORC provided by New Moon owner/mechanic Chris Young and his tech team! New Moon will also provide free wrench support to racers at the Mt Borah Epic mountain bike race in Cable on May 31, just two weeks later.

Singletrack Skills, Bike Maintenance, Women’s Clinics, and More!
New Moon’s Summer Clinic And Events Calendar is now online with a busy schedule of free bike skills and maintenance clinics, race wrench support, and instructional group rides. Education and outreach are an important part of New Moon’s philosophy of giving back to the ski and bike community. Riders can hone skills and gain confidence off-road with the weekly Singletrack 101 Group Ride each Thursday morning, led by owner Joel Harrison. Several free bike maintenance clinics will be led by Chris Young in June, in addition to four women’s mountain bike skills clinics conducted by upcoming cycling stars Keely and Kyra Jackson held throughout the summer. Other events include skills clinics at Mt Ashwabay near Bayfield, WI, and more! Riders are encouraged to take advantage of these great learning opportunities while enjoying the world-famous CAMBA mountain bike trail network.
