We are making progress, but still need YOUR help!

December 10, 2014 – Hayward, WI  —
We are happy to report that we’ve passed OO!  To date we have raised $280,964 toward our $650,000 Phase 1 goal – that means $369,036 needs to be raised within the next 10 weeks!  This is a huge goal – We need your help to be successful!  This money will be used to establish a long-overdue permanent start area and year-round trail head up at Telemark, as well as building the skier bridge over Hwy 63 to create smoother & safer traffic flow around Hayward during Birkie events.  We need your contribution to ensure we meet our goal by Birkie start time on 2.21.2015!  Donate by cash, check, credit card or stock.  Need a last minute Christmas gift for your favorite Birkie skier?  How about a contribution in their name?  Be part of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation future – learn more and contribute to the campaign at www.birkie.com/future, or call ABSF Development Director Amy Rowley at 715-634-5025.  After all, 100% of Foundation work is focused on a creating an unforgettable Birkie Trail experience – year-round – for YOU!

Ready to catch Birkie Fever?  Looking for an excuse to skip out of work early to go skiing?  Join us on Wednesday evening 12/17 at the Iola Winter Sports Center to get pumped up about the 2015 Birkie and to help raise funds for our permanent start area and the skier bridge at the finish!  It will be a fun evening with great food and beer from LaSure’s Catering (hot beef & turkey sandwiches with all the fixings!), along with an opportunity for one lucky person to win a 2016 Birkie entry with VIP parking!!  That’s a $250 value!  We’re also planning to auction off a few other priceless experiences – a lifetime entry to the Birkie, and a lifetime VIP parking pass to park at the start of the Birkie – you do the math on those 2!  We’ll also have a raffle with some surprises.  Plus everyone who attends will receive a really cool commemorative Birkie beer or wine glass.  Learn more and Register online HERE or call the office to register by phone 715-634-5025.  Act soon to save your spot!  And consider skipping out of work early so you can ski beforehand!
