End 2018 in healthy, Birkie style!

Held at the American Birkebeiner Trailhead in Cable, the Double Pole Derby is a fundraiser for youth ski teams in the Hayward/Cable area.  Race on the Birkie Trail while supporting the future of skiing- a win-win for sure!  Middle School/High School races are freestyle for 2018.  The citizen/collegiate race is also freestyle – that means – skate, classic or even double pole the entire course if you like.

The American Birkebeiner Trailhead has a great loop of man-made snow!  The race will go on no matter what the natural snow situation is like.   Course updates will be made depending on the forecast.

Bonus Event! High School/Middle School:  Don’t miss the Spooner Holiday Dash on Friday, December 28 for High School/Middle School racers.  *Update 12/26/18:  Spooner Dash will be held on Friday, December 28 at the American Birkebeiner Trailhead and will be CLASSIC.  Saturday’s Double Pole Derby race has been changed to freestyle.
