Trails are open and in good condition. The Birkie Trail from OO South to Gravel Pit is groomed with classic tracks. Monday we will be revising the areas that were used for the Seeley Hills Classic.
As previously reported we have a thin base and our grooming plans are now heavily focused on getting ready for the big race at the end of February! 🙂 Who has BIRKIE FEVER!
Stay stuned for trail reports as things are updated.
Enjoy your day out in the Northwoods!

Tomorrow we are hosting the 32nd Seeley Hills Classic! If you are interseted in racing 42k or 22k, you are able to register through tomrrow morning. Please see more info here.
You may be wondering... where should I ski?!
Today- access is open to all trails and is not impacted by the race.
Tomorrow- we recommend avoiding the Birkie Trail sections from Gravel Pit to Fire Tower from 8am - 2pm. This means, unless you are racing- you we recommend skiing from the Birkie Trailhead in Cable or Fish Hatchery in Hayward. Thank you for your flexibility!

Wowzas, what a temperature drop!!
We groomed our way from OO to Hatchery Creek last night. In a perfect world we would make 2 passes with the groomer, making a nice wide trail. We did have some equipment issues, so we made one pass with the groomer. We will make a second pass when repaired- shooting for tomorrow night (Friday).
The Classic Trail from Birkie Trailhead south to Timber Trail was groomed for skate with no tracks until Saturday due to some trail renovations (more details coming soon).
Birkie Trailhead Loops have also been groomed and are in pristine condition!
Tonight: Birkie Trail Kids (Program Annoucnement) It's going to be chilly tonight, but not too bad at 4pm. No worries if your child doesn't want to ski in the cold! We may shorten the lesson a little and keep them moving. Make sure they dress warm!
