Good evening! We have some good news- we will likely groom at Birkie Trailhead this evening/tomorrow! Stay tuned & we will update in the morning. What a nice little cold spell for us to hang on to winter just a bit longer!

Good afternoon!
No grooming tonight- there is a lot of debris on the trail and we are not able to groom it out. The skiing is still great as it just depends on temperature! Want to go fast? Go early... want to go slow? Wait until it warms up! Cheers to Spring Skiing!

The Trail CrU is planning to groom up 10-15 km around the OO loops and Bodecker. Please stay tuned for details Friday Night. It's spring (offically on Sunday!), so it's time for some spring skiing! Generally, mid morning and also just before dark are great times to get a firmer surface to ski on! Some of the trails still have debris on them, so ski with care.

Suns out!

OO Loops were groomed on Sunday for the Nordic Kids Program. Thank you to all of our coaches, parents and little athletes who helped make the program a great success!

The Classic Trail north of OO was groomed with track set to Bodecker.

Birkie Trail South of OO has not been groomed past the OO Loops since the ice storm last week. We will plan to clear it when we are able. As the temps increase, much of the trail side brush is beginning to be more vertical. We will share as much information as possible going forward.

Good afternon-

Today, we were able to groom a portion of the loops at OO, and some of the Birkie Trailhead Loops are also groomed for skating so they do not interfere with the Fat Bike Birkie.

Enjoy your day!

Friday, March 11, 2022 (9:00AM)

Good morning!

The Birkie Trail is cleared and groomed from OO North to Birkie Trailhead! To manage expectations, by saying groomed and cleared we mean the trail is passable and groomed with no tracks. This is incredible! Thank you to everyone who has put in time over the past several days to clear tree debris from our trails. We do have more to go, but we are looking great for tomorrow's Fat Bike Birkie.

The American Birkebeiner Trail will be open today to fat bikers to preride the course from 10am-3pm. Today, the Fat Bike Birkie Expo will run from 1pm-7pm- tomorrow the expo will run all day!
Big Fat: 10 am
Half Fat: 10:15 am
Fun Fat Tour: 10:30 am

Thank you to our sponsors, volunteers, racers and staff!

Today, Ned finished clearing, combing and setting tracks on the Easy Strider B & C loops. He has done a lot of work on these classic loops this year!

We are thankful to everyone who has been out to help clear our trail. So far, collectively, we've completely cleared the trails north of OO. OO to Timber Trail on the Classic and Skate trails have been groomed-- however-- classic tracks were not set on the classic trail.

Today, our crew continues to clean up our trails, which were very impacted by the freezing rain we received over the weekend. While beautiful, it was quite destructive to our towering pines and Poplars. If you are looking to ski today, OO to Boedecker might be your best bet. Ski with caution and with ski care as we have multiple crews out working today. Thank you

Good morning-

Since yesterday, OO to Bodecker Classic and Skate Trails have been groomed, but with NO classic tracks. We are still working on clearing the trails and will continue to do so throughout the next few days.

Fat Bike Birkie is this weekend.... the American Birkebeiner Classic and Skate Trails from Birkie Trailhead to OO will be used for fat bikes on Satruday. Check out the course HERE... and make ski or fat bike plans!
