In his book, Poling takes readers on an exhilarating journey through the history of the Birkie, from its humble beginnings in the early 1970s to its status today as the nation’s largest and most celebrated cross-country ski marathon. Featuring lively stories, personal interviews, and more than 150 historic and contemporary photographs, the book is a must-read for ski enthusiasts, history buffs, and anyone who loves the Birkie spirit.

A portion of book sales will benefit the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, helping to preserve and grow the Birkie experience for future generations.
