Junior Nationals Weekly Details Released

The American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation is proud to be hosting the 2026 XC Junior National Championships on March 7-14 at Mt. Telemark Village! We look forward to welcoming racers and spectators to the Cable/Hayward area for a great week of junior racing and social activities.

March 7-14, 2026
Saturday, March 7th: Arrival and Training Day, 9am-3pm
Sunday, March 8th: Training Day, 9am-3pm; Opening Ceremony 5pm, Downtown Cable
Monday, March 9th: 7.5/5K Freestyle Interval Start Race Day, 9am-3:30pm
Tuesday, March 10th: Training Day, 9am-3pm; 3-7pm Skiing After High School, the Hub, Hosted by Borah Teamwear
Wednesday, March 11th: Classic Sprint, 9am-5pm; 6-9pm Coaches Social, Rivers
Eatery, Hosted by Podiumwear; Athlete Social, Lakewoods Resort, Hosted by Cable

Thursday, March 12th: Training Day, 9am-3pm; Parents Social, 5:30pm, the Hub, hosted

Friday, March 13th: Classic Mass Start Distance Race, 9am-3:30pm
Saturday, March 14th: 4 Person Mixed Gender Freestyle Relay Race, 9am-1:30pm;
Closing Ceremony, the Hub, 6-9pm

For your planning purposes, we will have a food vendor on site on race days. Backroad Coffee is located at the Hub and will be open throughout the week.

A presale of Junior Nationals clothing will open soon for any athletes that have already secured a team spot. The link will be sent to you as soon as the store is open but will have to close before team registration. There will be limited sales on site, so we encourage all athletes and families to order during the presale, if possible, to ensure they get the commemorative pieces they want. There will be additional purchase opportunities after
the event for shipping straight to the athlete.

We know you will have a lot of questions as we get closer to the event. We will try to provide
as much information as possible on the website.
