Ski for Parkinson’s Raising Funds for 10 Years!
Dear Skiing Friends,
I am once again skiing the American Birkebeiner – Kortelopet Open Track and raising funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation – Team Fox–Endurance. I will be skiing on February 18, in the Kortelopet 29km Open Track. Thank you for your past donations and good thoughts. I am attaching the link for the fundraising page. You will note my continuing association with Ski for Parkinson’s. This is our tenth year as Ski for Parkinson’s. Once again, the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation and the Michael J. Fox Foundation have continued their partnership, and Team Fox- Endurance is the official event charity. This is our third year. Last year, we had 5 skiers on the Ski for Parkinson’s team, raising $161,643. Of that amount you provided $18,068. THANK YOU.

I have set a goal of $15,000 but I hope to exceed it. I am skiing in honor of my late sister Barbara, and brothers Larry and Terry. I am also skiing in honor of several people whom are enduring the effects of Parkinson’s Disease, including: two amazing women, my friend Michael who came to the race last year and may join in the fun again this year, my friend Bill B. and other Vietnam Veterans, my friends Roger and Kirk, and my friend Ron, in honor of his late wife, Sue. Please consider helping to find a cure and the development of new treatments. 100% of all funds collected go to fund research. Good thoughts and prayers are also accepted. If you do not care to use the electronic payment method, please a check made payable to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research to the MJFF. Please make a notation with your check stating: Mark Gherty, Ski for Parkinson’s . The address is: Michael J. Fox Foundation – TEAM FOX-Endurance, Box 4777, New York, New York 10163. If you use a donor advised fund, e.g. Fidelity or Vanguard, please make sure they make the appropriate notation.
As I have every year, I will carry the names of all donors and responders with me during training and during the Kortelopet. I will pause at the top of the International Bridge on February 18 on my way to the finish to say “Thank you God for all my donors and well-wishers please bless them and help the researchers find a cure for Parkinson’s”.

Thank you again and God Bless.
Mark Gherty
