The Cable Area Chamber of Commerce is helping set the stage for an unforgettable championship week in the Northwoods.

Thanks to a generous $15,000 contribution through Travel Wisconsin’s Ready Set Go Grant, the Chamber has made a significant investment in the success of the 2026 Cross Country Junior National Championships, taking place March 9–14, 2026, at Mt. Telemark Village in Cable.

Sanctioned by U.S. Ski & Snowboard, Junior Nationals will bring the top junior-aged cross country ski athletes from across the country to compete on some of the most iconic trails in American skiing. More than a race series, this weeklong championship is an opportunity for young athletes and their families to experience the camaraderie, competition, and unmistakable charm of the Northwoods.

The Cable Chamber’s contribution ensures that this competition week will be more than just fast skiing — it will be a true community celebration. These funds are going directly toward enhancing the athlete and family experience, showcasing the warmth and hospitality that make Cable such a special destination.

A Week of Racing and Community

In addition to supporting the championships financially, the Cable Area Chamber of Commerce will host and help coordinate several key events throughout the week:
