MAGGIE BOWMAN
Hi! I’m Maggie Bowman, and I’m super excited to be a part of the first ever Stride de She! My absolute favorite thing is collaborating with athletes (especially women!) and chasing running dreams together. I ran cross country and track in college and my current running goal is trying to qualify for the US Olympic Marathon Trials for 2028.
I run and coach in the Twin Cities. I coach high school cross country and track, and I also work 1:1 and in groups with adult runners training from anything from there first 5k to ultramarathons. I’m super excited to spend time with badass women on August.

KAREN MANSKE
After several attempts to take up running, it finally took hold for me when I was challenged to run the Twin Cities Marathon in 1988. I was hooked! Over the next 3 decades, I ran 30+ marathons, plus many 5K and 10K events. Running made me feel strong and confident, and introduced me to many friends. In 1995, I was hired to coach the Bemidji State University women’s cross country running team. That was the beginning of my coaching career…which it turns out I loved! In the years since 1995, I’ve had the opportunity to coach cross country runners, track athletes, and Nordic skiers…of all ages. It is so rewarding to see others develop the love of running and Nordic skiing, especially when they carry these activities on through their lives!
As I get older, I’m definitely a slower runner and skier, but the pleasure of being active outdoors continues! It’s especially gratifying to meet more women who share this love of being active!

MARIT ROSS-SONNESYN
I ran and cross-country skied DIII at Gustavus College because I couldn’t decide which sport I loved more! In high school, my goal was always to break 12 minutes in the 3200 meter race…I never did it. In college, after a few bumpy years, I found my stride and made nationals in the 10k by my senior year, setting school records in the 10,000 and indoor 3,000 meters along the way. After college, I pursued bigger goals in the marathon (qualifying for the Olympic trials in 2020), while also completing graduate school as a physician assistant. I now work full-time as a hospitalist PA in the Twin Cities, enjoy coaching and volunteering as a member of Twin Cities Track Club, and continue to pursue athletic goals in both cross-country skiing and running!

KATE EGGERS-LEAF
Hi! I’m Kate — a lifelong runner and co-owner of Wild River Running.
My running journey started back in elementary school and has taken me from high school cross country and track to collegiate racing at Gustavus, and now to competing on the Minnesota race circuit with Twin Cities Track Club. While road racing has been my primary focus, moving out of the city sparked a new love for trail running—I recently tackled my first 25K trail race, and I’m hooked!
Last fall, my husband and I opened Wild River Running, a specialty running store in Stillwater, MN. We love supporting runners of all levels—whether you’re just getting started or chasing big goals—with training advice, community runs, and great gear.
I’m thrilled to be part of Stride De She this year as both a coach and a representative of Wild River Running. I can’t wait to connect, cheer you on, and share in the joy this sport brings to all of us.

KIM ROSTVOLD
Kim grew up in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, and her passion for running was sparked by training on wooded trails with her cross country and track teams. Her running journey continued at Gustavus Adolphus College, where she developed lifelong friendships with her teammates as they ran on gravel farm roads. Kim finds beauty in running’s simplicity, you can do it with minimal equipment from just about anywhere. She enjoys running as a way to explore new cities and a way to keep searching for new challenges. Right now, she’s blending road running and trail running while trying to master long distance racing. When she’s not running, she works as a pediatric dentist, bakes bread, and bikes around Minneapolis.
