Volunteer Recruitment Event!

Join us at The Lot in Hayward – next Wednesday, August 12 from 4P-6P .  There will be live music, food trucks and fun to be had. Chat with our team to learn about Birkie events, ask questions and sign up for volunteer shifts.  

Volunteering for the Birkie is SO much more than a week in February. The Birkie community needs volunteers YEAR ROUND as we put on biking, running and skiing events throughout the year and even at the Lumberjack World Championships (yes!  The Birkie manages this event too!!).  There is a huge variety of jobs that we need help with – lots of opportunities to let your skills and talents shine or learn some new ones.  

Our volunteers range in age from 9 – 90.  We hear over and over again how much our volunteers enjoy being part of something bigger than themselves and helping our participants reach their goals and dreams.  

Some of the jobs to choose from are: Beverage Sales, Bib Pick Up, Aid Station, Start and Finish Areas, Set Up and Take down, Course Control, Birkie Green, Office Volunteer (Birkie week), Bike Trail Work, Birkie Trail Work, Course Marking, Forerunners, Sweeps, parking, Race Chiefs.

Come join the fun at The Lot and see what volunteering for the Birkie is all about snacks and beverages will be provided.
