2026-2027 ABSF Board of Director Elections

Become an American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation Board Member!

Any member of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation can submit a nomination form and get on the ballot for the 2026 ABSF Board of Directors election. We need passionate, active outdoor enthusiasts to ensure the health and development of the American Birkebeiner organization. We encourage members with a passion for mountain biking, trail running, hiking, and nordic skiing, to consider running for the Board of Directors.

How to Become a Candidate:

Applications open June 1, 2026 and must be submitted by June 28, 2026

1. Become a member of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, if you aren’t already: www.birkie.com/membership
2. Submit a candidate application form online, by mail, or in-person from June 1, 2026 to June 28, 2026 by 4pm CT. Online form link will be posted June 1.

How to Vote for Members of the ABSF Board of Directors:

1. Become a member of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation, if you aren’t already: www.birkie.com/membership
2. The official voting period is July 1, 2026 to July 28, 2026 @ 5pm CDT.
3. Members* will receive an email with a link to vote online on July 1. If you are unable or unwilling to vote online, you may vote in person at the Birkie office in Hayward, WI or by mail.

   • Paper ballots must be received by July 28, 2026 @ 5pm CT to be counted in the election.

*If you become a member after voting opens, you will receive an email in the following days after you become a member prompting you to vote.
