Why are you interested in being a member of the ABSF Board of Directors?

I am interested in doing the ABSF Board because its mission aligns with my values and how I live my life on a daily basis. Endurance sports have the ability to grow community, teach grit and resilience, and inspire the next generation.

What knowledge and skills do you possess that can benefit the organization?

Long track record of competing at high level in multiple endurance sports from a young age to now as a father of three. Much of this sustainable success is through keeping it fun, building community through sport, and working towards goals both short-term and long-term. I have a strong understanding of what is needed at elite levels to the grassroots levels. My ability to connect with individuals at different levels and inspire them on their endurance journey is a skill I am proud of.

How do you see yourself helping to fulfill the ABSF vision, mission and values?

Much of my life has been shaped by this organization. As a young child, I raced skis through the World Cup trails of the old Telemark to racing bikes on the Jr. National team in the Pyrenees. These experiences have shaped my life and my love of endurance sports. They have opened up opportunities and friendships along the way. I am passionate about giving these experiences to the next generation by creating sustainable outdoor experiences through endurance sports. As society becomes more digital, I think it is more important than ever to be able to disconnect to outdoor experiences.
