Business Owner & Consultant
Why are you interested in being a member of the ABSF Board of Directors?
I’d love to play a leadership role in guiding the ABSF towards sustainably and inclusively empowering silent sports in the Northwoods and beyond.
What knowledge and skills do you possess that can benefit the organization?
I bring to the table 20+ years of corporate leadership, tech startup experience, small business ownership, coaching, and silent sport passion and racing experience that I believe fits extremely well with the Birkie mission and the opportunities ahead. The diverse liberal arts-like life experience and network that I’ve been blessed with drives a continuous improvement and innovation mindset that lends itself well to Birkie medium and longer range planning.
How do you see yourself helping to fulfill the ABSF vision, mission and values?
Lifting yourself and others up through outdoor experiences speaks to me the most. While I agree with all of the above, I believe promoting active outdoor lifestyles in an inclusive way deserves even more support and thought leadership. From a value lens; my blessing and curse is an action-orientation that everything can be improved, we must lead by example, and with a bias for action we can accomplish our mission in the most efficient way possible.
