Biathlon Venue
Biathlon is a winter sport that combines cross country skiing and rifle shooting. It’s a race divided into rounds where competitors ski through a trail carrying a rifle and ammunition and at designated loops, they stop to fire five shots at small targets. Depending on the competition, missed shots may result in additional time or distance added to the competitor’s total. Biathlon can also be practiced and raced in the off-season on foot or rollerskis. The Sandager Biathlon Venue will create a venue to provide opportunities for the community to experience the thrill of the sport. From first timer to elite, opportunities will be created for all!
Clearing for the venue has started and with more work to come. Expect to see opportunities as early as the 2024/2025 ski season!
