The Campaign for Sustainable TelemarkPart III: Support the Campaign for Sustainable Telemark
Meet the Honorary Chair of the Campaign for Sustainable Telemark

“What a place this will be! I have such good memories of Telemark when I was a Nordic Ski Instructor, and I’m excited to be part of bringing it back to life to create new memories now and for future generations. The future of Telemark and of Nordic skiing is in the hearts of our youth. I am so proud of my grandson Benjamin. He loves skiing.” Ernie St. Germaine

Mt. Telemark Village will come to fruition with your support for the Mt. Telemark Conservancy as a Shareholder. By purchasing symbolic shares or acres in the Conservancy, the vision for Mt. Telemark Village and the recreational facilities offered there will be brought to life. This unique campaign design will bring total support for the 286-acre Mt. Telemark Conservancy to $1,430,000. 100 acres @ $5,000 and 9,300 shares @ $100 are available.
These dollars will help protect the land through conservation easements; make it possible to restore existing and develop new ski and mountain biking trails; build a Nordic center and a roller ski path; expand snowmaking; set up an ice-skating rink and sledding hill; and build a lookout tower on Mt. Telemark. We will also make payments on the mortgage established when ABSF purchased the Telemark property.
Your status as a Shareholder grants no legal interest in the Mt. Telemark Conservancy. The value of your contribution is in protecting this historic property and beautiful forested landscape for the enjoyment of all, now and forever, and in promoting the mission of the American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation: to support healthy and active lifestyles among people of all ages and abilities.
Shares and acres may be purchased for yourself, for families, groups and clubs, or by businesses, and in someone’s honor or memory. Shareholders will be recognized on a Conservancy sign, by the acre or share. You’ll receive a certificate of ownership, a postcard-size print of the 1978 Birkebeiner ascent of Mt. Telemark, an invitation to the dedication of the Mt. Telemark Conservancy, and the good feelings that come with helping to make the world a better place. We look forward to celebrating with you.
